    The 14th Biennial Conference of the Asian Consumer and Family Economics Association (ACFEA) is going to be held in the form of both in-person and virtual conference.
     
    Hi Dear Friends!
    It has been a long time since the last time we met in-person in Fuzhou, China in 2018. How have you been? Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we have postponed this biennial conference from 2022 to 2023. We deeply appreciate the President of Asian Growth Research Institute (AGI), Dr. Erbiao Dai, for his willingness to be the local host of this conference. We welcome all of you to join this conference and enjoy the beautiful place of Kokura, an ancient castle town and the center of Kitakyushu. Looking forward to your participation in July.
     
    About This Joint Conference
    The Asian Consumer and Family Economics Association (ACFEA) has met every other year since 1995. The past 13 biennial conferences have been held in Malaysia, China, Korea, China, Taiwan, United States, Malaysia, Japan, and Korea, Taiwan, China, and virtual conference, respectively. The overall objective of the biennial conference is to improve the well-being of consumers, families and businesses in an era where disruptions constantly occur in all aspects of our lives.
     
    This conference is an excellent opportunity to present scholarly works and obtain critical feedbacks in a professional setting. At the conference, active and lively discussions are expected among paper presenters and other participants. There will also be intriguing keynote speeches by renowned scholars. We encourage the participation of both faculties and graduate students not only from Asia-Pacific countries, but also from other countries. Submissions can range from work-in-progress to completed articles aiming for journal publication. We accept empirical, conceptual, and theoretical research in all related fields.
     
    Keynote Speakers
    Dr. Tatsuo Hatta, Chairman of Executive Board of AGI, Japan and Ph.D in Economics from Johns Hopkins University.
    Dr. Katsushi Imai, Faculty in Economics at the University of Manchester, UK, and Ph.D. in Economics from The University of Oxford.
     
     
    Submission Guidelines
    There are two ways for you to submit your contribution. Please use one of the followings:
    1. Online Submission (need to register a google account and login first): https://forms.gle/fdPVQx9eZxh6nBBaA
    2. Email Submission: Please send your submissions to the ACFEA secretary at asiancfea@gmail.com.
    All papers are supposed to be written and presented in the English language. However, articles written and presented in Chinese are also acceptable. Completed papers, extended abstracts (at least 500 words), or PPT file are acceptable for review. 
    Authors of accepted abstracts or papers will be provided with detailed guidelines to prepare papers for publication in the electronic conference proceedings, which will be available on-line at the conference (http://www.asiancfea.org). Authors can provide a PPT file instead of a full paper. If an abstract, a paper, or a PPT submission is accepted, at least one author must pay conference registration fees no later than June 15, 2023, and promise to attend the meeting and present paper.
     
    1. Format for Abstract and Full Paper (or Extended Abstract):
    * The subject of your email should be: Submission to the 14th Biennial Conference of ACFEA by author’s first and last name.
    In your email, please provide manuscripts that should begin with a cover page indicating article title, author(s) affiliation(s), mailing address(es), phone number(s), and email address(es). Please make sure to provide the above information for each of the authors. Please also tell us in the cover page that if you would like to attend in-person or virtual conference. In addition, the abstract has no more than 150 words.
    * Maintain 1-inch (=2.54cm) top, bottom, and side margins.
    Submissions should follow APA Guidelines, 5th edition format with special attention to headings and references. The maximum length is 20 double-spaced pages, including tables, charts, and references integrated into the paper. Running headers should not be used.
    Create a file readable in the U.S. version of Microsoft Word. All graphics and tables should be included in the file. Before you save the file, click on File, Properties, and names or other information that might identify the authors.
     
    2. There Is No Certain Format for PPT Submission.
     
    3. Criteria for Evaluation:

    Submissions will be reviewed and evaluated on the basis of importance/relevance of the subject matter and the contribution to the knowledge base, appropriateness of the method, timeliness and usefulness of the (expected) findings, (expected) conclusions, and/or position, and adequacy of interpretation and implications. The Program Chairs shall determine the suitable session for each submitted paper according to the topic and the time zone presenter’s residence. If accepted, the author(s) is (are) responsible for presenting the paper at the conference and/or finding an alternate presenter.

     

    Publication Opportunities

    All papers presented in the conference will be published in the electronic proceedings without ISSN. In addition, authors of papers that are written in English and outstanding in quality and content will be very welcome to possibly submit their works to special issues of several journals if available.
